LIBERALISM DEADLY ENEMY OF THE CHURCH

As in politics so in Christianity there is a broad spectrum of belief. There are ultraconservatives on the right and liberals on the left. Truth is found between those extremes. This book by John Waddey contains 26 chapters devoted to various aspects of the liberalism now at work among Churches of Christ.

The meaning of religious liberalism is explored and the methods of liberal teachers examined. Chapters are devoted to past brotherhood experiences that help us understand our present crisis. Among the chapters is one entitled, "Why We Do Not Participate in the Billy Graham Crusade.  Readers are reminded that there was a time when this view was universally held by our people.

Unfortunately such is not now the case. Other chapters are devoted to ways elders and preachers can protect their congregations from the subversions of the "change agents."
