Frank Chesser of Montgomery, AL has written an excellent book that analyzes the spirit of liberalism that motivates and drives the change agents that are at work among our churches.  Rather than dealing with specific cases, for the most part he addresses the lack of respect for God's Word that is the basis for this movement.  The author is full of Scripture and a gifted word-smith.    His chapters on Liberalism and Grace, Liberalism and Law and Liberalism and Christian Schools are outstanding.
